And now to a bad piece of news :

When I came home on last wednesday to check on my flat, i had to discover, that some asshole broke into my flat and literally took everything of value that was left (thankful enough my most expensive possessions were at my girlfriends house)

Here follows a short list of things that were stolen :

My DELL-Server with almost 250 GB of data accumulated in the last couple of years
A 15" TFT-Flatscreen
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
Soundblaster X-Fi 5.1 USB
Logitech 5.1 Speakerset
Star Trek : TNG Seasons 1-7 (The full DVD-Boxset)
Battlestar Galactica (Seasons 1-4 including the Miniseries)
About 30 other DVD's including things like :

Indiana Jones 1-4
House of Flying Daggers
and many more (can't even think of all the movies that are lost)

Nevermind the fact that said asshole also rummaged through Jessica-Chloe's Clothes and toys. In all honesty, that dude/dudette should be glad that I wasn't home, cuz I would've killed him/her. And I'm not even joking, would've just plain threw him/her out the windows on the 10th floor (where my flat is), just simply for breaking into my house with my daughter around.

Anyhoo, to more pleasant news: The relationship with my GF (Kerry) is going absolutely swimmingly :) And even tho I now basically took on responsibility for 4 more kids and am atm living as the only male in a household with 6 lassies, my life is finally coming together as it should :)

A big thx goes out to Kerry at this point for taking me in and supporting me in these times, luv ya hun *kisses*

a new family??

For those who didn't follow me on twitter/fb in the last couple of days, I have found a new some1 in my life :D

Have met Kerry in a parents-support group which we both attend to, and had finally last tuesday brought up the guts to actually ask for her tel-no :)

And since last thursday we are an item. And even tho i have "already" one daughter of my own, I now took on the responsibility to take care of some more ;)

So now the total size of OUR family is 7. That includes Kerry (ma GF), me, Jessica-Chloe (ma daughter) Abbie, Paige, Joanne and Tammyjoe (the last four are Kerry's daughters ;))

And b4 any1 says it: Yes I know that is a big family, but i have not felt that good about myself and being a family-dad, ever! :)

And even tho all the kids have more or less "special needs" it doesn't even feel like a burden. Quite the opposite actually :D

But b4 i get youse ppl bored, I'' have to shoot off and get breakfast done for all of us, since the bunch just wakes up one after the other :D

a cold saturday mornin

after having spent last night tryin to fix my vps (running cent-os 5.1 at that time) and having re-compiled virtually everything from apache, php, python to subversion i gave up at about 3am and decided to give it a new go this morning.
So the first best thing i thought of doing was changing the server-distro, tried fedora 8 for a while (like 30 mins or so :P), and didn't like it.
Strangely enough i ended up using ubuntu hardy heron (8.04), and I must say it was a breeze to get Trac and it's plugins running on that server.
So at the moment, I am recommiting the code of JAF back into svn and then FINALLY i can go back to MY work and program and not spent hours and days on setting up and maintaining a bleeding server ('xcuse my french there :P)

I'll prolly write some more l8er on or rather tomorrow, not sure yet, just keep yer eyes peeled ;)

oh well, I suppose I could make friends with Garfield ;)

anyhoo, atm I'm about to embark on another voyage through PHP-Code and see how far I can get in development of JAF :)

as one can see here, I've been quite busy ;)

well to be precise, I'm ~~about to start development~~ engaged on a project called JAF. More about it can be found at : http://code.google.com/p/joker-app-fw/

but besides that, I had a good couple of weeks :) My baby-girl (Jessica-Chloé) has grown steadily, and started to babble in the last couple of weeks :D

It’s just about another month b4 she has an assessment on her hips. She might end up getting a surgery to correct the position of her hips, not something I am looking forward to, but hey we’ve mastered other things in our live, we’ll get thru this ;)

Since I have not been so well the last couple of days (damn flu) JC’s granny was so great to help me out with JC, so I could get some rest, and finally starting to feel like a human again ;) You can tell by the fact that i brought up the energy today to redecorate my living-room, so that I, in fact, now have somewhat of a desk-area and not just a laptop on ma lap ;)

Another thing that I’m glad about: I finally managed to get my finances in order, my internet is coming back, and I have no outstanding bills, whatsoever :D

I think that should be enough for a Sunday afternoon ;)

.. yeah, as some of you might have noticed by now, the platform and design of mitos[dash]kalandiel[dot]com has changed somewhat.

Since i can’t find the time at the moment to maintain a webserver and it’s services, i decided to change hosting of my site to blogger/blogspot (Google based service)

Besides that, you can get my detailed web 2.0 profile at about.mitos-kalandiel.com (Service provided by ReTaggr) Check on the right, in the sidebar :)

I’m going to try and recover the old blog-entries from my “old” wordpress-installation and migrate them into this bastard :P

but hey, their loss! i felt soo rought all day yesterday after i woke up at about 9am and two hours sleep :P just sittin all day in ma couch and watching the first series of Fringe :D

today? hmm, i just feel old, i hope this passes, cuz i’m no gonna feel like this for the rest of ma natural life :P

After a rather long offline time i'm finally "Back in the UK".
About bloody time an'all :P

Germany was dreadful (if i come to think about it in the endresult)

but helped a lot to come to realize a lot of things about my own decripit self ;)
well now being back here, i got some wicked plans to go after.

My first post on the Testblog
